Outfit OKAY

Terms of use

The short version: be 18 or over, post only what you have the right to post, judge the clothes and never the person, and you keep owning your photos. The rest of this page is the detail you are agreeing to.

Who you are agreeing with

Outfit OKAY is owned and operated by PGBDIC LLC, an Illinois limited liability company. Where these terms say “we”, “us” or “Outfit OKAY”, they mean PGBDIC LLC. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms, to the community guidelines, which form part of them, and you confirm you have read the privacy notice.

Who can use Outfit OKAY

  • You must be 18 or over. We ask for your date of birth when you join and refuse an account below 18; an account we find belongs to someone under 18 is removed.
  • One account per person, unless we have agreed otherwise with you in writing.
  • The name you give must be yours. You may choose a display name, but you may not pretend to be somebody else.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.

What you see of other people, and what they see of you

Your profile shows your first name or chosen display name and your @handle. Your last name is private unless you choose to show it to signed-in members. If you show your location, your city, region and country appear on your profile and people can find you by searching them; you can hide it at any time in settings. We never show a street address or your device's live location.

Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of the photographs, words and other content you post. By posting, you give PGBDIC LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, resize, re-encode, display and distribute that content, and to make the share preview for links you create, only as needed to run and improve Outfit OKAY and to show your content to the people you chose to show it to.

That licence does not let us sell your photographs, license them to anyone else, or use them in advertising. When you delete content, we stop displaying it and remove the stored files; copies can survive for a short time in caches and backups before they expire, and content others have already seen or shared outside Outfit OKAY is beyond our reach.

What you promise about what you post

  • You have the right to post it, and everyone identifiable in a photograph agreed to appear in it.
  • You are not posting a photograph of a stranger, or of anyone under 18 as the subject of a decision.
  • It does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
  • You will follow the community guidelines, and disclose any paid or gifted arrangement when you post about it.

What you may not do

  • Rate, rank or comment on a person’s body, looks or attractiveness. Outfit OKAY evaluates clothes.
  • Harass, threaten, impersonate, or share anyone’s private information, address or live location.
  • Post sexual content, hateful content, or anything involving a minor as its subject.
  • Use automated means to create accounts, vote, message or collect data from the service.
  • Interfere with the service, get around a block, a suspension or a security control, or try to access what is not yours.

Dealing with other members

Opinions on Outfit OKAY come from other members. They are not professional advice and are not our views, and we do not check them before they appear. Messages are between you and the other person: a first message from someone new arrives as a request you can accept or ignore, and you can block, mute or report anyone. If you meet or deal with another member outside Outfit OKAY, you do so at your own risk. We are not a party to anything you arrange with another member.

Moderation, and how to challenge it

Reports go to a person. We may remove content, limit what an account can do, or close an account that breaks these terms or the community guidelines, and we may act without a report. Reports about someone under 18, a non-consensual image, a shared address or a live location are reviewed first.

Every moderation action is recorded. If we act on something of yours, we tell you in the app, and you can appeal within 30 days, one appeal at a time; a person reviews it and tells you the outcome.

If you believe something on Outfit OKAY infringes your copyright, report it from the post with “Copyright” as the reason and tell us what the work is and why you own it. We remove content we find infringing and close the accounts of repeat infringers.

Content Outfit OKAY operates

Outfit OKAY publishes and operates some accounts and content itself, so that the service is not empty for the people who arrive first. This is platform-operated starter content: it is ours, it is editorial, and it is published under our control rather than by a member of the public.

It takes the form of example profiles. Each has a name, a photograph, a place and a short biography, and posts looks under that name, as a member would. These profiles are not real people and are not members: we created them and we operate them. The photographs and captions were created for Outfit OKAY, including with image-generation tools, and the people shown are illustrative. The looks these profiles post, and the answers, comments, likes and follows among them, are ours, not members'. An answer or comment from a member on one of these looks is the member's own.

This content does not endorse a product or a brand, it does not represent that a member wore or bought anything, and it is excluded from every measure we report of how the community is used. Your own verdicts, comments and posts are recorded as yours and never mixed with it.

Commercial content

Members may link items to approved retailer websites. Each product tag is reviewed before it appears and may be removed after a report. The retailer handles the product, purchase, delivery and returns; Outfit OKAY does not sell or fulfill it. Member affiliate and tracking links are not permitted. If a member received payment, a gift or another benefit for featuring an item, they must disclose that relationship beside the item.

The service is provided as it is

Outfit OKAY is new software, provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, that content on it is accurate, or that an outfit will be well received, and we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, PGBDIC LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Outfit OKAY or from anything another member posts, sends or does. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars. Using Outfit OKAY is free today.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that rule applies.

Responsibility for your own content and conduct

If someone brings a claim against PGBDIC LLC because of content you posted, your breach of these terms, or your violation of someone else's rights, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, including reasonable legal fees, to the extent the law allows. We will tell you about such a claim promptly and let you take part in the response.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in settings. Deleting it removes your profile, decisions, photographs, comments and votes. We keep moderation records, and counts that no longer identify you. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; where we do, you can appeal as described above.

Disputes and the law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a problem informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If you live somewhere whose law gives you rights that cannot be waived by agreement, those rights are not affected.

Changes, and the rest

If these terms change materially, we will say so on the site before the change takes effect; continuing to use Outfit OKAY after that means you accept the new terms. If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not giving it up. You may not transfer your account or these terms; we may transfer them to a successor that runs Outfit OKAY.
